The Footpath Library is Australia’s only giving library for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Established in 2003, TFL gives away over 9,000 books each year in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Reading is proven to have a positive impact on mental wellbeing and we help people engage their minds and feel socially included via our mobile libraries which operate on the street, in social housing, community centres, soup kitchens and refuges and hostels in NSW, Victoria and Western Australia.
